Wilderness Program
The Community courses are five day programs designed for new-comers attending the Wilderness Program. Course fees for both Community courses and the follow-up course are heavily subsidised to encourage attendance by those least able to afford it. A number of Community courses are scheduled each year for both the north and south of the state.
Follow up courses are offered for participants who have completed a previous program and are keen for additional challenges. Follow-up courses concentrate on only one outdoor focus area. Two different courses presently operate and their cost is $100.00 including GST per person.
The Underground Challenge Course: This four day caving follow-up course invites the participant into an underground world in the Mole Creek area that is both testing and inspirational.
Snow Camp Course: This is a demanding six-day round trip involving walking and camping in snow environments. The journey begins in the Mersey Valley and traverses the Walls of Jerusalem and returns to Lake Rowallan.
