Tasmania's Biotechnology Strategy

BioVision Tasmania 2007-2015: Tasmania’s Biotechnology Strategy, was launched in June 2007. The strategy outlines actions aimed at growing the Tasmanian biotechnology industry including:

  • Strategy 1 - Build Capability
    Promoting Tasmania’s capability in existing competitive niches and building industry competitiveness.
  • Strategy 2 - Enhance Communication
    Improving communication between scientific, government and industry stakeholders and increasing community engagement.

    Attracting and accessing new capital.
  • Strategy 4 - Coordinate Approach
    Ensuring the efforts of stakeholders are coordinated and directed towards developing the Tasmanian biotechnology sector.
