Premier's Fuel Summit

Dear Tasmanians,

In organising the Fuel Summit, I wanted to bring together a broad range of voices from across the Tasmanian community.

No government has a monopoly on good ideas and I valued the input on how we can soften the impacts of high fuel prices in Tasmania.

I’m looking forward to progressing the range of new ideas that the State Government can now work on with industry and the community.

My commitment is to take the ideas raised at the event and look at how the Government can advance them for the benefit of Tasmanian families and businesses.

I am determined that the Summit will bring meaningful, tangible outcomes.

I am committed to providing the resources needed to develop and implement initiatives that can help reduce the impacts of rising bowser prices.

In the interim, the Fuel Summit website will be regularly updated to keep the community informed on progress. You will now find both of the presentations made at the event attached for your information. In the near future we will attach a summary of the ideas and solutions developed by the community at this event.

Mark McKenzie – Keynote address

Georgi Marshall – CoolpoolTas

Media Release 15 October - Major Urban Public Transport Study

Thank you for wanting to know of the outcomes from this event and I am genuinely excited by what we can achieve through working together to help minimise the strain of high fuel prices.

Yours sincerely,

David Bartlett
Premier
