The Tasmanian Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts offers a range of free services to business and skilled migrants including:
Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts employs a dedicated Resettlement Officer who will be in contact with you throughout your immigration process, both before and after your arrival.
Depending on when
and where you arrive, we may be able to provide you with transport from
the airport to your initial accommodation in Hobart. This service needs
to be arranged prior to your arrival. You will need to advise how many
people will be travelling with you at the time of your arrival, your
flight details, and how much luggage you will be bringing.

It is essential that you discuss this via email or telephone as far in advance as possible so we can make the necessary arrangements to meet you and to assist you as much as we possibly can. Please be advised that if we are unable to meet you on your day of arrival, or your arrival time falls outside of office hours, you will have to arrange your own transport. There are taxis and shuttle bus services available at all Tasmanian airports.
Business migrants must visit Tasmania before making an application for State sponsorship.
