If you are researching job opportunities in Tasmania

If you are looking for employment opportunities in Tasmania, you should note that not all vacancies are necessarily advertised through the internet or in the newspapers.  The reason for this is that due to widespread skills shortages, some employers see no value in advertising positions that cannot be filled from the Tasmanian labour market.  Note that approaching employers relevant to your occupation directly (once you have your visa) will often get results.

There are three major Newspapers in Tasmania.  The Mercury (Southern Tasmania), The Examiner (North) and The Advocate (North-West).

The majority of vacancies advertised in The Mercury newspaper are automatically advertised at www.careerone.com.au

For The Examiner and The Advocate newspaper’s, go to: www.mycareer.com.au

If you have skills in demand and have a visa that allows you to work, or your visa is about to be granted and you are considering settling in Tasmania, you can email us your CV and we can make employment enquiries on your behalf.  When you email your CV, please advise which visa you have applied for, or which visa you have been granted.  The email address for enquiries is below:
