- Pulp mill construction and operation
- Supply chain
The construction and operation of a world-class A$1.9 billion pulp mill has been approved for construction for Bell Bay in northern Tasmania. The mill will use a kraft pulping process and elemental chlorine-free (ECF) bleaching technology. It will initially produce 820,000 air dried tonnes of pulp annually that will be available to Australian paper makers and exported to potential markets including Taiwan, Korea, Japan and China. The pulp mill will use 3.2 million tonnes of woodchips that Tasmania would otherwise be exporting.
Extensive opportunities exist not only through construction and operation of the mill, but also through associated supply chain activities.
