The Tasmanian Government
The Tasmanian Government’s Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts manages a range of projects, programs and initiatives that are designed to help the Tasmanian economy grow. These include business development programs, support for innovation science and technology, export and marketing assistance and industry development initiatives.
The department also works closely with Tasmania’s industries to develop their short and long-term capability and competitiveness. Part of this involves a targeted approach to attracting investment into Tasmania, identifying opportunities and encouraging reinvestment. It also involves providing project facilitation services, support and encouragement for strategic alliances, networks and clusters and delivering quality financial facilitation services across a range of industry sectors including; resource industries, tourism infrastructure, manufacturing, information and communication technology, food and beverage and finance and business services.
