The Tasmanian ICT Survey is an independent and comprehensive survey funded by Intelligent Island and undertaken by Melbourne-based Whitehorse Strategic Group Ltd.
These surveys provide a collection of industry data that is robust, accurate and up-to-date. The date includes vital industry indicators such as employment numbers and composition, revenue, R&D expenditure and company ownership structures.
Access to such information is an essential ingredient in any attempt to build a strong and vibrant ICT sector. Without reliable and current data, it would become increasingly difficult to assess industry needs and opportunities and to devise policies that assist the industry to grow.
The results of the survey underline both the resilience and vitality of Tasmania's ICT sector and its continuing importance to the state's economy.
