Market Access and Partnership Program The Market Access and Partnership Program (MAPP) is a competitive, merit-based grant program intended to accelerate the growth of small to medium sized Tasmanian information and communications technology (ICT) companies. MAPP is providing up to $18 million in grants over four funding rounds. Three rounds have been completed, with $12.7 million currently committed. Applying for MAPP grants is a two-stage process: 1. Submit an Expression of Interest 2. Successful Expressions of Interest are invited to submit an Application. Two types of grants will be offered in Round Four:
Expressions of Interest for Round Four closed on 25 February 2008. Eligible applicants have been invited to submit a full application. Applications for Round Four close on 18 April 2008. Companies are encouraged to utilise the services of an Economic Development and Tourism client manager during the expression of interest and application process. The Guidelines for Applicants have further information on MAPP and the two types of grants available in this round. Applicants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the Guidelines. Grant Deeds for Round Three are currently being negotiated. The Intelligent Island Program is funded by the Australian Government and is managed by the Tasmanian Department of Economic Development and Tourism.
