Facilities available

The Tasmanian Technopark in Hobart develops, supports and markets viable, sustainable and internationally competitive technology and innovation-based industry in Tasmania.

Its purpose is to encourage growth in the technology industry sector. It does so by fostering a culture of innovation and helping tenants to commercialise innovative products, processes and services.

The Technopark offers accommodation options to suit a range of businesses - from complete, self-contained, client-owned buildings to leased accommodation including a business incubator.

The Technopark currently accommodates about 20 companies employing more than 500 people. These companies are now exporting to over 46 countries and have demonstrated an annual growth rate of 30 per cent.

The Technopark is located on an exclusive headland overlooking the Derwent River. The five-hectare site is 15 minutes from the Hobart city centre and 20 minutes from the Hobart International Airport.

Tasmanian Technopark Incubator Program

The Tasmanian Technopark Incubator Program provides assistance to start-up and existing businesses to accelerate growth, facilitate strategic alliances and to encourage information dissemination and technology transfer with other organisations.  Assistance may include:

subsidised office space rental

flexible occupancy periods for office space and a "clean" workshop space with small to medium sized offices and cubicle areas available

Enterprise improvement programs

Science and Technology Industry Development Program

Tasmanian Innovations Program

access to information about Australian Government and other programs

business advice and mentoring services
