  • informing biotechnology stakeholders of relevant funding , promotion and skill development programs and assistance schemes available
  • identifying opportunities for national and global partnerships
  • providing advice on strategic biotechnology infrastructure investments

  • attracting investment to the  biotechnology sector
  • informing and engaging the community on biotechnology concepts and issues
  • identifying current and emerging trends in the international biotechnology marketplace.

Members are drawn from the biotechnology community, as well as other associated industry and service sectors. The network meets twice a year and provides input into future implementation plans and budget bids.  The network also provides  feedback to government on the effectiveness of the initiatives, as well as providing further networking opportunities for key players in the biotechnology sector in Tasmania.
