Funding

Three grant programs are currently available to provide funding for science related businesses and industry and research collaborations. These programs are the:

• Tasmanian Innovations Program
• Research Partnerships Program.

The Policy Framework for Department of Economic Development Support for Cooperative Research Centres, Centres of Excellence and Other Research Collaborations in Tasmania, guides funding and in-kind support for research centres in the state.

Skills

The Innovation, Science and Technology Unit has three programs to assist scientists and researchers to develop the necessary skills to commercialise new products, processes and services, including:

• Market Ready Commercialisation Program
• Commercialisation Bootcamps
• The Innovation Development Early Assessment System.
