The Tasmanian Manufacturers Capability Register has been produced by the Department of Economic Development and Tourism's Manufacturing and Services Unit. The Manufacturing and Services Unit aims to improve the quality, profitability and success rate of Tasmanian manufacturing and services enterprises.
The Tasmanian Manufacturers Capability Register contains a detailed listing of over 600 manufacturing businesses located in the state. It has been compiled from information supplied by the businesses as a result of a questionnaire distributed to the business community.
The Tasmanian Manufacturers Capability Register does not discriminate against any business in terms of their employment size or production capabilities. This makes the register a comprehensive source of information on the manufacturing capabilities of Tasmanian firms.
