Information Technology Industry Council



Council members



Following the ITC&AT industry audit, the Tasmanian Government established the IT Industry Council (ITIC) to continue to engage the Tasmanian information technology and telecommunications industry in industry planning and in developing an action plan.

The objectives of the ITIC include:

  • engaging the Tasmanian IT industry in the development of an IT industry plan that addresses the issues and recommendations contained in the ITC&AT industry audit
  • through the Tasmanian Development Board, providing input to the development of the Intelligent Island program

The ITIC has 13 members including the chairperson, with a wide cross section of appropriate skills relevant to developing the local information technology and telecommunications industry.

IT Implementation Plan

The ITIC has released a strategy that provides a clear direction for the Tasmanian IT industry over the next decade and is continuing consultation with industry and State Government to develop an implementation plan.
