About the council

The environment industry produces goods and services to measure, prevent, minimise or correct ecological impact or damage, lower environmental risk and reduce resource use. The Environment Industry Council was established in August 2000 to advance the development of the environment industry and the adoption of sustainable practices in other industries and throughout the state.

Environment Industry Strategy

The Environment Industry Council's vision is supported by a strategy comprising four aims: positioning, sustainability, competitiveness and growth through innovation. These aims are set within the context of local, state, national and global legislation, policies and programs.
