Community Development Finance Fund

The $5 million Community Development Finance Fund, was launched on the 9th December 2010.

Components of the fund that support new business and the creation of jobs include:

  • Social Enterprise Loan Fund  
    $3 million has been allocated to this fund for social enterprise loans supporting organisations with community development as their mission.

  • Micro Business Loans Program
    $1 million has been allocated to this program which provides financial assistance to individuals establishing entrepreneurial businesses.

The Community Development Finance Fund also includes the Micro Finance Loan Program that assists families with the rising cost of living. This program is funded by the Department of Premier and Cabinet and administered by NILS. More information on this fund can be found here.
