The Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts offers a range of targeted assistance programs and services to help develop business in Tasmania.

The Business Licence Information Service (ABLIS) is a one-stop-shop for high-level information on a range of Commonwealth, State and Local Government controls that you must comply with when operating a business (or occupation) in Tasmania.  These controls include licences, permits, approvals, registrations, codes of practices, standards, guidelines, etc

A FREE mentor service that offers the skills and experiences of both MEN AND WOMEN mentors to anyone who is ready to launch or expand a business.

Business Point offers industry and small business advice and assistance regarding how to start, run, and grow your business.

Do you have a business idea or are you in the early stages of starting a business? The Business Start-Up Support Program assists business intenders or small businesses with developing a tailored, practical business plan.

Enterprise Centres Tasmania offer free and confidential business information, guidance and support services to both existing small business and to those who wish to start a business. They centres are a network of independent, non-profit, community-based organisations partly funded by the Tasmanian Government.
