Is my business eligible?
Applications will be accepted from Tasmanian businesses that:
Please note that on submitting an application a further assessment will be conducted by the department prior to any recommendation of an application for approval.
1 An example of a supply chain business is a provider of essential components or services that are key inputs into the production of export goods or services.
What is being offered?
Tier 1 – Business Review, Planning and Strategies:
Applicants are generally able to apply for grants of up to $15 000 on a dollar for dollar basis to cover eligible expenditure that helps the business meet the cost of engaging an expert or specialist to provide advice, undertake a business diagnostic and/or develop a business plan.
Applications are assessed on a rolling basis with applicants being advised of the outcome within 10 business days of submission.
Tier 2 – Implementing Business Growth and Sustainability Initiatives:
Applicants are generally able to apply for funding representing 25 per cent of the project’s cost and up to a maximum of $50 000. For example, if the project costs $100 000, then the maximum the department will contribute is $25 000. Funding is to be used to help the business implement growth or improved productivity initiatives. This must be as a result of Tier 1 planning activity or specified actions identified in the businesses own strategic planning processes.
Due to limited funding and given previous demand for Tier 2 grants, applications will be assessed on a competitive basis at regular intervals throughout the year.
