Enterprise Centres provide FREE and confidential information, guidance and advice to small businesses and people looking to start up a small business.
An Enterprise Centre provides support to people intending to commence in business or self employment and existing small businesses (with five or less employees).
The support provided to businesses include:
- providing information, assistance, guidance eg. bookkeeping, market research, analysis of business opportunities, finding solutions to business problems.
- referral to organisations, Government Departments (including the Department of Economic Development and Tourism) which can provide further assistance
- developing clients business management skills
- establishing networks and connections between businesses
- encouraging the development of an entrepreneurial culture within the local business community.
A centre can also assist local Economic Development and Tourism projects that will lead to new jobs and growth in the local economy.
