The Dr. Phillip Law Lecture Series
As part of the Antarctic Midwinter Festival, the Dr. Phillip Law Lecture Series honours the contribution of one of Australia’s Antarctic pioneers and legends, Dr. Phillip Law (AC, AO, CBE), Australia’s longest serving Director of the Australian Antarctic Division (1954-1966).
Previous Dr. Phillip Law Lecture Series have featured influential keynote speakers, such as former Governor of Tasmania Sir Guy Green (AC, KBE, CVO), former Federal Minister for Science (1983-1990) Dr Barry Jones (AO) and eminent Antarctic mountaineer and adventurer Greg Mortimer (OAM).
