Our structure
The Department of Economic
Development, Tourism and the Arts reports to two ministers:
Michael Aird MLC, Minister for
Economic Development, and
Michelle O'Byrne MP, Minister for Tourism
and the Arts and Minister for Sport and Recreation.
We implement our strategies and initiatives through five divisions, each
with a number of focused business units.
Several boards and statutory authorities have governance responsibilities for specific functions administered by our department.

| Tasmanian Arts Advisory Board | Increasing the cultural and economic value of the arts to Tasmania under the Tasmanian Arts Advisory Board Act 1975 |
| Tasmanian Innovations Advisory Board | Delivering innovations program and grants |
| Screen Tasmania Advisory Board | Providing financial assistance to the screen industry |
The
Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts also provides
administrative support to independent entities including:
- Tasmania Project
- Interim Secretariat for the Agreement on the Conservation of Albatrosses and Petrels (ACAP)
- Tasmanian Leaders Program
