Applications are now open!

The Tasmanian Science Excellence Awards will showcase Tasmania’s outstanding science and research achievers and also highlight the importance of science and research for the growth of Tasmania’s community and economy.

There will be two categories for nominations:

Premier’s Scientist of the Year Award

This award recognises the achievements of the state's leading science and technology researchers over the past 12 months. The winner will be presented with a trophy and a $10 000 cheque.

Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology’s Science Innovation Award

This award will recognise a business or individual for their innovative science and technology product, process or service during the 2011/12 financial year. The winner will be presented with a trophy and a $5 000 cheque.
